ATV Driver Safe After Train Horn Blast
Robert Hovis, 40, is lucky to be alive after he was joyriding his all-terrain vehicle down the railroad tracks in Gloucester.
Just after 10 a.m., the train's horn and headlights alerted him that a train was quickly approaching.
Hovis had enough time to veer right and out of the trains path. Transit police are charging him with trespassing on railroads right-of-way, but luckily he is still alive.
A fatal accident could have occurred here, but thankfully, the train's horn was loud enough to alert the rider of its approach. If you want more information on train and truck horn kits for your vehicle, contact Air Horns of Texas in McAllen at 888-580-1630.
